Reflection on Superkids Camp

During these 3 days of fun and enjoyment ,i had learnt many new things.I finally know how to overcome my difficulties on speed reading and how to memorise something faster.the instructors are very cheerful and entertained the entire class with laughter.they also taught us values of behaving well in school and know how to understand about certain people's feelings before you comment about them.I like this camp a lot as they teach us many things we can perform in our daily lives as well as our future.

Thoughts of the Day !!!!

During Miss Chia 's lesson, i was given 2 different compositions - one which Zong Rui wrote and Chester for the other. After I read the two compos , in my opinion, I prefered zong rui's story writing because his story included many useful and sophisticated phrases and words .Althogh there 'love' in that story, i think it's fine with the marker as long as it is not very exaggerating. WhereasChester's compo is very gory and some markers would not like this kind of story. This story was well witten as the paraghaphing and sentence structure is very good.

The social studies lesson: Today,after the english period,it's social studies.Our social studies teacher,Mrs Goh,has told us a lot of information about prime minister Lee Kuan Yew (1959-1990) and a little bit about her childhod.She then showed us a video about The World War II. After I watched this video,I think the POWs (Prisoners of war)were very pitiful as they were given very little food to eat and were also forced to do work.Some of them even died of beri-beri (a kind of diease)and malnutrition.I also had learned that Singaporean were tortured by the Japanese, especially the chinese Singaporeans. Luckily, the Japanese surrendered 3 years later and Singapore was finally in peace.

Hmm...What should I talk about today...Oh!about the science talk this morning!
Whenever I see differnt types ingredients use for various dishes,I thought:Where does those toppings/ingredients come from?After this science talk, I discovered there are so many unique/edible plants(parts) in the world. Conducted by Mrs Raeburn, I have found out that some of  fruits/seeds are edible and I had gained a lot about the plants from this presentation.
